Project Procurement Coordinator

As Project Procurement Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our operations, connecting tender teams, project engineers and local purchasers to make sure our projects run smoothly from the very start. You enjoy a dynamic role where no two days look the same: from supporting tenders and securing key project materials, to occasionally visiting project sites and vessels to work hands-on with local teams.
The Project Procurement Coordinator is responsible for maximizing procurement coverage of project spend from tender to execution by identifying key cost components and ensuring early involvement of procurement in sourcing activities. The role includes managing procurement activities for smaller projects remotely from headquarters, as well as handling medium-value spot purchases and strategic sourcing outside the group procurement scope.
In addition, the position leverages existing framework agreements, explores new contractual opportunities, and collaborates closely with central procurement to establish sound project-specific contracts. The PPC implements the Group Purchase & Logistics Operating Model by developing the Project Procurement Plan & List and providing tools and dashboards to enable end-to-end supply chain and logistics management.Your responsibilities
  • Maximize procurement coverage from tender phase to execution, ensuring early involvement in sourcing activities.

  • Act as preferred procurement & logistics contact for project teams and bridge collaboration with central procurement.

  • Translate tender procurement lists into detailed execution plans and update them as projects evolve.

  • Handle strategic spot purchases and sourcing outside group framework contracts.

  • Develop and manage the Project Procurement Plan & List, ensuring tools, dashboards and checklists are in place.

  • Support tenders by identifying key cost drivers, participating in pre-bid agreements and proactively gathering procurement input.

  • Visit project sites and vessels at project start-up to align with local teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate with local purchasers and provide guidance, coaching and follow-up.

  • Source suppliers for consumables, PPE, equipment, tools and materials (e.g. geotextiles, rocks, civil works subcontractors, jetty materials).

  • Evaluate local offers and ensure proper contract terms are secured, raising red flags when necessary.

  • Monitor supply chain performance and ensure smooth execution from HQ on multiple projects.

  • Use existing framework agreements while exploring new contractual opportunities in collaboration with central procurement.

  • In short: you proactively secure the equipment, services and partnerships that keep our dredging projects moving safely, efficiently and on time.

Your profile
  • 3–5 years experience in procurement.

  • Experience in project-oriented environments (construction, infrastructure, industrial plants…).

  • Strong sourcing skills, you don't rely only on central procurement, you explore local markets and leverage internal networks.

  • Ability to challenge and advise stakeholders assertively.

  • Hands-on mentality - willing to go to project sites to understand operational realities.

  • Strong coordination & communication skills.

  • Experience reviewing contracts and supplier proposals.

  • Fluent English skills.

  • Willingness for short international missions (1–2 weeks).

Our offer
  • An extensive mobility program for a healthy work-life balance.

  • A permanent training track which allows you to develop yourself personally and professionally.

  • A stimulating, innovative workplace with growth opportunities.

  • A people-oriented environment with an interactive health program and a focus on employee wellbeing.
